Allyson Kramer is a vegan in my world - I also went vegan by choice but after being diagnosed with Celiac Disease found I had to go gluten-free for health.  There are not a lot of resources for gluten-free vegans but Allyson's manifest vegan is filled with decadent recipes that are all vegan and gluten-free and delicious.

The Post Punk Kitchen is my all time favorite vegan food blog.  Written and created by Isa Chandra Moskowitz in 2003. She started filming vegan cooking shows and threw in some bands as well. Not only are their recipes, but there is a forum and other resources available.

Isa also has authored some of my favorite vegan cookbooks including Veganomicon and Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World.

If you are to pick just one recipe to try, a favorite that I have made for many eaters (omnivores and vegans) is Isa's chickpea cutlets.

Many people have challenges packing vegan food or making kid-friendly vegan food.  Jennifer McCann has tackled both in the blog as well as the book Vegan Lunch Box.  Not only does she include pictres of the food, but also how she packs it which is sometimes the tougher task when fixing portable meals.

Deceptively titled Fat Free Vegan Kitchen, not all the recipes are fat free but mostly follow the approach to avoid added processed fats like oil or margarine.  The author, Susan Voisin, writes recipes made with whole foods and without added oil. She includes links and categories to all her recipes, plus resources and a shop with great tools to stock in any home kitchen.  Links to her recipes can be found at the Facebook pages for Forks Over Knives and Engine 2 Diet.

A great predominately raw vegan recipe blog is Golubka.  The author is Russian, and Golubka means "dove" in Russian, the author's native language.  I appreciate the sections that the recipes fall into so you can search based on breads, or cooked items, or breakfast or even child-friendly recipes.
